…many and various types of interests …

is the definition of my blog title. Many interests which I love to share. It’s my hope that I can provide encouragement to help you find something you enjoy.  Maybe you will be encouraged to step out and try something, like reading a new book, or maybe reading a new genre, or even trying out reading some fiction.  Or maybe trying a new craft or picking up an old craft that you used to do.  Or trying to draw or trying something else completely different than something I’ve done and starting your own blog and encouraging others with what you love to do. Mother-Daughter Teams – Fictional and Real

My mother and I were very close, more like sisters than like a mother and a daughter. We did a lot of things together. It's only natural that I'd enjoy reading about a fictional mother daughter team, and even more ... It's only natural that I'd be intrigued by hearing about a real mother and daughter team working to bring Hope to people all over the world.

Once Was Lost, Now He’s Found

Another huge span of time has occurred since my last book review. Again, I’ve read many, but haven’t blogged about them. One day I’ll sit and do some writing about all my reading and favorite authors. But A LOT has happened again, since my last post (the one about the second book in the “Once Lost” series) – basically, Covid happened and then my husband and I moved, “long-distance, two states over”-type of move, not the “toss everything in the car and drive a town or two away”-type of move. So, anyway on to the review. “The Redeemed” is the third and last in the “Once Lost” series by Kelly…

Out Of The Frying Pan Into The Fire

It’s been a long while since I’ve done a book review. I had to stop one labor of love to focus on another and much bigger. At the time I stopped reviews, it was due to my mother’s inevitable passing on to the loving arms of her Savior Jesus, which happened in July, and then the subsequent dealing with clearing out her house, rehoming her cats, paperwork, and crying A LOT. Then the holidays came, which despite the loss I enjoyed greatly. And now, it’s a time of great transition. But my reading never did stop, I just didn’t write a lot about it 🙂 So here we go: A…

    Living to Create

That’s what my logo says. I get times here and there to create, but not nearly as much as I would like. Why? Because of a lot of things, and if I expound on them all, it would amount to whining. And it would make me reflect too much on how nearly hopeless it could be for me to ever be doing exclusively creative work. I’m not going to expound … or whine … or complain. I’m just going to keep on plugging along, hoping and praying that maybe I’ll finally be able to honestly call myself an artist, instead of a frustrated artist. This book, A Life of Creative…

    Madeline is meddlin’ again!!

Oh, this story had to come around at this time … I wasn’t the only one either. Facing the impending doom of my mother graduating to heaven, my gut twisted (more than it’s normal twist) when I read the dedication “To everyone who has to say a final goodbye to a mother …”. Oh my gut hurt, not only because of life right now, but because it was a foreshadowing of what was to happen in the story and I dreaded it. But that wasn’t the whole story, so … let’s see what Madeline was up to this time. (She’s the “bees knees”.) About the Book Book: Dead Letter, A…
